Q: DDouble capitalizing first letter in Community Only

EEvery time I post in these Community forums on my iPad Pro 9.7" in Safari, it capitalizes and duplicates the first letter. I keep going back and fixing it in my usual posts, but I left it on this post so you could see what I'm talking about. No other page in Safari is doing this. Only the Apple Support Community. I've tried all the standard fixes (restarting, quitting Safari, etc.) but it looks like it may have to do with the actual site itself. I've noticed other people's posts with this same occurrence, so it's not just me. Thoughts?

    It was a deucy, poor Gail did not deserve this. You can still see the last post here. I will not explain further for risk of a poof.

    ONly at the start of a sentence from the left margin, the key sticks.

    ON.

    Not a wise career move on the part of said person. Gail is our friend. The Bobfather is highly unpleased by their actions

    YIKES!

    Now I really am befuzzled!

    Your illustration and wording now says the SHIFT key sticks for 1st and 2nd letters then lets go - not DDouble the same letter - and "releasing/UNsticks" the SHIFT key thereafter

    I may be letting ÇÇuriosity ÇÇill the ÇÇat, so I will quit while ahead! smileys40.gif

    Yep, don't know if you saw it or not. Gail held her own, she is a smart cookie, but nonetheless. I got my share of it also...

    That's what I meant to say, a doozie, but deucy according to the urban dictionary sounds about right also.

    I would have liked to have seen the full discussion in all of its glory. I'm sure it was a winner. When the thread gets hacked like that, I often wonder what a newbie looking for answers thinks when they read through the discussion. It becomes so disjointed and things don't make sense any longer. On top of that, the poor OP has been left with no responses that help.

    Gail is a winner, and she will bounce right back, so I have no worries about her. It is my worthless opinion that threads like that would be better served at the bottom of the ASC dump site never to been seen again. Then let the hosts send an email to the OP with a brief explanation that the discussion violated the ToU, or whatever they want to say, then ask the OP to post again, or simply let the OP know that the hosts are are going to repost the original question and let the whole thing start over again.

    [chuckle] {nice how you referred to the Urban Dictionary... you post most certainly would have gone _ _ _ _! because of the alternate definition}

    That is a great idea but not likely to happen, sad to say. Regarding the "discussion", maybe you can ask Gail about it in the lounge. The "expert" is here to teach us all how to do things, we have it all wrong.

    Guess what, some never learn although for old cookies like us (I am 69) that is nothing new. Just now another doozie by the same expert gone poof.

    The first line of defense is always the Report button. Why get your hands dirty ?  I rarely report people other then to change usernames. When I do I keep it real simple. I usually say one word. Rant. Argumentive. Then watch the post disappear. If somone is trolling starve them of oxygen by not answering.

    They eventually disappeared but it took quite a while after reporting.
