iTunes toolbar doesn't work. Stays in taskbar and doesn't function.

My iTunes toolbar won't work. Whenever I minimize my iTunes and it goes into my toolbar, it doesn't function. The volume slider wont move, the play and skip buttons don't do anything, and to maximize my iTunes window again, I have to click my iTunes shortcut. Any solutions? If anyone can help, I thank you very much in advance. 🙂 - LJ
