I have an iTouch running 6.1.6. It has stopped sending emails, but continues to receive them. Maybe it's a gmail issue? "The user name or password for "Gmail" is incorrect."
iPod touch, iOS 6.1.6
Go into the settings, mail, contacts and calendars
Delete your g-mail off your iPad, exit out, go back in and re-add your info.
Sometimes things get messed up and the easiest way to fix it is to start over.
My iPod touch has stopped sending email, still receives. It is using version 6.1.6
