Videos are not visible in menus

I am using the "Center Stage" iDVD theme that I have used many times before, but this time the sample videos in the drop zone of the main and scene election menus do not appear - only the text. Is there an on off switch of some sort for those? "Show drop zones and related graphics" in menu info is checked. Other themes appear to work ok. Thanks ahead of time.
