how to add clock face

When viewing the current watch face, force press the face until you see the Customize button. From there, then using your finger, swipe to the left and you will get to the New screen, with a ➕ in the center. Tap there to add a watch face.

I read your question a bit differently than Chris. So, just in case..... You cannot add third party watch faces to the Apple Watch.

There is an app called Monogram that will let you do a few interesting things with complications.

Thanks for that clarification. I was looking at it the other way, as I just got mine and have been working with it a great deal to understand customization. I'll have to take a look at that app as well. Comments/review of the app? I've registered for 3 different workshops at the closest Apple Store tomorrow to try and get myself up to speed on the Apple Watch. We will see how that works.

I'm not sure which of us is correct but figured, between the two of us, we'd cover all the bases.

Monogram is, for lack of a better word, cute. I set up one or two faces. However, my go-to face is Modular with my selection of complications (temp, timer, activity, calendar). Attractive though some of the other faces are (the jellyfish!), I find that what I really got the watch for is those little bits of information in addition to the time.

Thanks. Can't wait. I'm currently using the Chronograph, and I use the battery, calendar, and local temperature complications. I wish I could get rid of the timer in the upper right corner, and replace it with something else, but that is not changeable. I'll take a look at the app. I created one with a picture of my dog (go figure) but I don't like that all you can have there is the digital clock in the upper right corner. I'd like to make some additional adjustments to that face. I'll let you know how things go.
