Q: Raw Photos ICloud and access to Photos
Hello,
Two part question:
I have many photos I've shot in RAW(very large format) files.
Can I place them in the ICloud?
Allowing only one person access to just those Photos?
(other than myself)
If I were to shot the Smith's wedding photog. Take the wedding place into a new file within the cloud. And allow the Smiths to have access to just those photos?
Thank you!

Photos for Mac, iPhoto, Aperture can store and edit RAW files, if the camera is supported. The RAW support of a Mac is camera specific.
The full list for supported RAW formats on El Capitan is here: Digital camera RAW formats supported by OS X El Capitan - Apple Support
I am not sure about your system version, but if your iPhoto version can handle the RAW files, you can add them to a shared album.
But, the Support document on RAW files in Shared albums is misleading. You can share the RAW files in a shared album, and it will look in your library like you added a RAW photo. But the album will transfer a JPEG with a reduced size. Shared albums have a size limit for photos - the largest dimension must not be longer than 2048 pixels (unless it is a panorama), so the photo will be scaled down and sent as a JPEG file.
iCloud Photo Sharing FAQ - Apple Support
When shared, photos taken with standard point-and-shoot cameras, SLR cameras, or iOS devices will have up to 2048 pixels on the long edge. Panoramic photos can be up to 5400 pixels wide.
