MacOS X El-Captain renames Windows volume on every boot by appending increasing numbers to the volume name

I have installed Windows 7 on a separate hard drive on my MacBook pro running el-captain. My MacOSX is running on an SSD and windows is on another physical hard drive. I named the other hard drive Windows 7 partition as "Windows".

And on every boot of MacOSX, I am seeing the windows partition listed on my MacOS as Windows 'n'. n has now become 10 from 1( I have rebooted my MacBook pro 10 times into MacOSX).

Why is this happening and how to prevent it? Because I have some links on my MacOSX to files on the windows drive and they become obsolete with every reboot.

MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.4)
