Q: iTunes on IOS 9.3 - Continuous Play - Playlists

I have upgraded to IOS 9.3.1 and I can no longer use continuous play on Playlists

 

Might not sound much but I do not want shuffle my library (no indication on screen if turned on!) 

 

I like a playlist for a journey and if the playlist finishes it starts again automatically

 

Not much of a problem unless you use you iphone as a music player in the car! 

 

When this no longer apparent feature can cause safety issues.  Using a phone is illegal (not sure that telling the police office that Apple changed things and I was not making a call would work).  I have steering wheel controls - I can control forward or reverse tracks from my steering wheel but cannot start a playlist again - car full of kids - dad what's your pin number. Oh you have apple pay etc........

 

Can someone tell me how to enable continuous play for playlists.

 

I have read a thread that someone can get continuous on an iPod when listing by Artist/Album but not when sorted by artist.  I cannot see these on my iPhone - probably there but I'll have to three finger swipe while rubbing my ear lobe or something.  I'm sounding old now, why there is just not a menu that can be used.

 

Please if someone knows will make journeys with the kids better for me and safer all round else it's back to CD's

    Hello Steve,

    Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

     

    If I understand your post correctly you are trying to repeat a playlist.  To accomplish this simply toggle the repeat button in the Miniplayer when playing your playlist, as shown below:

     

    Or you can tap or swipe up on the Miniplayer to see the Now Playing screen and controls. Tap the   in the upper-left corner or swipe down to close the Now Playing screen.

    Tap   once to play an entire playlist or album on repeat or twice to repeat one song.

    Use Apple Music in the Music app
