Q: Getting contacts out of an OLM

ok, so I exported my mailbox out of office for mac 2016.  Now I just need the contacts out of it.  When I imported it back into my outlook, it added it as "on my computer" and while my contact are there, they are not in my contacts of my new account.

How do I get them into my new account?

PS:  I could export it to a PST or convert the olm to a pst.  is that my only option?
