    Generally, that is not permitted by YouTube.

    Use VLC Player.  Copy the URL of the video you want to download, then open VLC.  Go up to File --> Open Network.  In the dialog box that pops up, paste the URL.

    Click "Open."  Then go up to Window --> Media Information.

    At the bottom of the Media Information window, you'll see Location and then an URL — select the whole thing and copy it.

    Open a new tab in your web browser and paste the URL into the address bar.  Right-click on the video and save the video to your hard drive.  It'll be automatically named "videoplayback," but you can change this later.
