I am trying to recycle a 5s Iphone and it is asking for a serial number. I do not have a sim card in phone. Can I find the serial number without a sim card?
The help screen says I can us the imei number instead of serial number, but not working.

Can you access settings on the phone at all? If so, you can get the serial number in Settings>General>About. If the device is not activated, you can look in iTunes where your backups are and find it from there.

you should be able to find the IMEI on the back of the phone in REALLY small lettering.
