Q: Stop OS automatic sorting

When I want to search for the largest file on my computerspotlight cant seem to find it.  If I put "black" into the search bar, the first 25 items do not contain the word black even though there is a file called black.png on my computer.  it is the 100th+ item i come across.  Why is this? Also I cant seem to set the results to stop sorting by date I can only search by size, file type ,etc. after it serches by date.  This renders the search usless - I'm not looking for the buggest file yesterday.  I'm looking for the biggest file EVER. Sportlight seems to not be able to deliver the results I request.  Does anyone know why this would be?
