apple tv remote navigation issue

my silver apple tv remote won't navigate to the left, only up/down/right. all the other buttons work fine, which leads me to think it's not a battery issue.

While it is possible your left button is broken, unless the low battery indicator is showing on screen, I would try something else before getting a replacement:

FIrst: How to restart your Apple TV - Apple Support

Then if not resolved: Restore your Apple TV to its factory settings - Apple Support

After all that, it leaves only the remote...
