Should they be free?  When we bought an iPhone last year they were not.  If you have purchased them before make sure you are using the same Apple ID.

    Try this:

Go here to verify your device registration (you'll need to login using your Apple ID credentials):

    https://supportprofile.apple.com/

You can view your registered device(s) here and if there are any you've missed registering, you can do that as well. You can also register new devices here. Afterwards, visit the App Store and your free apps should be available to you.

*IF* this does not work, continue as follows:

Log out of the iTunes Store on your device:

Settings>iTunes & App Store...tap your Apple ID, then select "Sign Out"

    Force Restart your device:

    Force Restart (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)

    1. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button

    2. Press and hold the Home button

    3. Keep holding both buttons until the display turns off, then back on displaying the Apple logo.

After the device has restarted, sign back in to the App Store as above. Try to download the apps again from the App Store.

I've tried both possible solutions and no one worked for me! Thank you so much anyway

I guess, you need to have an iPhone with 64 GB or more or an Apple Computer to get them for free.

If you can't see them under your  "Purchased" section of the App Store showing the cloud icon you may have to speak to Apple tech - I have just purchased the SE 64gig and that came pre-loaded with all the iApps but in a fit of madness when first started I deleted them to save space (not sure if it's the case with smaller memory devices). My logic was they would be available via the App Store to download in the future if required, but I was wrong.

It seems if you do not open them first before deleting they do not get linked to your Apple ID so will not appear as a free option for any future downloads - if an iTunes backup was made prior to deleting then they might be recoverable but I also failed to do that as well.

The only way I got them back was to call Apple Tech and a kind senior advisor emailed several Redeem codes (after first confirming I was in fact entitled to such) - think he liaised direct with the App Store team because was put on hold for a few minutes. After redeemining the apps I transferred them to iTunes and made a backup of the apps concerned to a separate drive (just to make sure).

    Hope this helps.
