Is it possible to choose the layers a light affects?

Hi,

I would like to make two different lighting setups for two different texts in Motion 5. The problem is that all the lights affect on both texts even though I would like the texts to have their own lights. So is there a way to choose which layers a light has an effect on? Or is there a way to block lights from hitting the other text?

... not really.

If you convert your texts into 3D, then you can use their individual Lighting controls (without adding additional Lights) to "light" them differently. You can make 3D text look 2D by taking the Depth down to 0 and flattening the "Edge" parameters.
