I have a new Dell computer which has windows 10 operating system. ITunes worked previously on this computer but when I downloaded the latest version of ITunes my ipod nano is no longer recognized. I have tried two different ipod nanos with 2 different cables with no success. I have followed apples instruction to open device manager and look for Apple IPod but it is not listed. Can anybody help?

As a test, shut down (power off) the computer and disconnect all USB devices. You can leave standard USB keyboard/mouse connected, if used. If your computer is a laptop, connect its power adapter so that it's not running on battery power. Do this to Reset (restart) the iPod

Start up computer, run iTunes, and connect one iPod to a direct USB port on the computer, by itself. Is there any difference?
If that does not help, you may want to completely uninstall iTunes and related components, following the procedure in this Apple document. It lists the components of an iTunes installation, and the precise order to remove them

After completely removing iTunes, download and reinstall the latest version
Thanks for trying to help. I have disconnected all USB devices. Switched them around. Powered down computer. I have also followed Apples instruction to search for Apple device in device manager but it is not listed at all. I have also looked in Microsoft community for help and it seems lots of people have this issue. I ran a device trouble shooter on my computer but it made no difference. I am at a loss.
Then I would try doing the completely remove iTunes and related components, then reinstall iTunes procedure, linked in my previous reply. Be sure to remove the listed components of the iTunes installation in the described order. It seems to help resolve this problem, when other actions to not work.
