Apr 14, 2016 4:47 AM in response to Apgebruersby Vinceassociate,Seems rentals are not treated the same as purchases. It downloads to the device where it was rented from not all devices you own. You can watch it on your iTunes computer or use Airplay to watch on your ATV.

Apr 14, 2016 6:40 AM in response to Vinceassociateby Apgebruers,Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, it does't solve my problem! I rented this movie (Steve Jobs) from my Apple TV, supplying my iTunes ID and password as requested. Whereas I'm new to ATV, I gather that the movie download should then have been available to me on ATV but that didn't happen.

Apr 14, 2016 6:52 AM in response to Apgebruersby vazandrew,When you rent the movie it will start to cache to the ATV, once enough has loaded it will start playback. The time it takes is dependent on your network. The cover art will also appear in the top shelf when you have the Movies app selected.

Apr 14, 2016 7:03 AM in response to vazandrewby Apgebruers,I rented the movie at 23.52 last night and it's now 15.01 the next day and the movie has still not appeared - my network is quite good and certainly not as slow as that!.

Apr 14, 2016 7:53 AM in response to Apgebruersby Vinceassociate,It was unclear from your post you rented it direct from the ATV. Since you did, clearly it should appear on your ATV. I would restart your Apple TV and try once more to view your rental. If no progress, I would contact Apple directly to resolve your purchase problem.

Apr 14, 2016 8:46 AM in response to Apgebruersby vazandrew,The movie is not stored on the Apple TV. Turning off the device or accessing other content will cause the rental to be flushed and have to reload again.
