Q: Podcast stopped showing up in itunes store

I am at a lost, I think, of what's happening.  I created a podcast(ppvguys) and it was showing up in the itunes store correctly for a good while.  Then it stopped updating in the store page itself.  People who had initially subscribed were still getting new episodes but new subscribers weren't seeing the new ones.  I started using google tracking links for analytics. Coincidentally, that's when my newer podcast episodes stopped updating. Not sure if that's the reason or not.  I'm in the process of removing the google links in case this is the problem.

The feed is http://feeds.feedburner.com/popcornpissandvinegar and the xml is http://www.ppvguys.com/shows/ShowX.xml

The feed seems to validate but I'm still having issues with newer subscribers.  Any advice would be awesome!

Thanks so much!

Let's look at subscribing in iTunes first. Here the shows run up to no.75, then show 124 is the only subsequent one to appear. This is because from shows 76 you 123 you have left the extension - .mp3 - off your media file filenames. Without this iTunes does not recognize the file as an audio file and so ignores the episode. You resumed adding the extension with show 124, hence its appearance.

Now in the iTunes Store itself the situation is less clear. Here the shows end at 57 (with 56 missing) and no subsequent shows have appeared. I can see nothing in the feed to explain this and can only assume that it's another of the Store's interesting glitches - there have been cases of it failing to update, so this may well be the issue even though it happened two years ago. You should contact Support and ask for a re-index: this may kick the Store into updating - but before you do this you should sort out the extension issue or episodes 76-123 still won't show. Go to https://itunespartner.apple.com/en/podcasts/overview and click the 'Contact Us' link at the bottom of the page.

Thanks!! I thought it may have been those google links.  I used them for analytics but I will just replace them. I'm gonna go in and change all the links back to their original mp3 links.

    Thanks again!
