Same problem on a 2007 Macbook running 10.6.8 Snow Leopard. Weather Underground (Wunderground) widget suddenly stopped updating the weekly forecast - nothing changed on my end, has worked for years, reliably. No firewall changes, nor router set-up changes, nor provider changes (that I know about . . . ).

Am using all the same equipments and paths to the internet that have been in use without a hiccup for the last 4-5 years.

Connected to home router box via WiFi. Have not tried at another location, nor Ethernet.

Everything else seems to be working normally. All other computer online and other activities show no issues; only the Wunderground widget.

We recently changed to Daylight Savings Time, here. I am wondering if that is impacting this issue, somehow.

Have reinstalled the widget, re-set-it-up, to no avail.

I noticed this under Mavericks about 24 hours ago for the Weather.com/Yahoo widget. The week's forecast will update as we go day to day but the current temperature is not updating.

Widgets are becoming old-fashioned and several other weather widgets I used to use stopped functioning a year ago. It is possible the feed service has become corrupt and nobody is paying attention to it.

Among my online Macs, one running 10.5.8 (G4) shows updated weather, while another

(intel) running 10.9.5 seems to show cooler temperatures from earlier in the day.

The widgets available for Mavericks OS X 10.9.5 are most similar to those for 10.11.x.

A few other weather widgets are available, with limited features compared to default.

(The older weather widget did not show yahoo as a source in 10.5.8; it works fine.)

Rather than launching a full app or browser window to load much more content and

waste the bandwidth, for a few details, I prefer widgets; though I am weather-aware.

My state is a big place, and the details can make a difference in the resulting reality. 😉

My weather widgets in 10.9.5 have not moved in hours.

However in the older Mac 10.5.8, they're current...

{In screen-shot, curious which version of iStat Pro that is;

one I have creates plenty of Console log errors, I stopped

using it and the errors also ceased to be created.}

Among my widgets is one that forces all widgets to quit.

After that, they should refresh; the temperatures do not.

Oh well... 🙂

Yes, I know... couldn't see cluttering the thread with a second one

& realize the 'condensed version' isn't as good as singular posts.

My iStat Pro (from older Mac where it the good version works fine)

has no problem, along with other widgets. DashQuit is one that

still works in later OS X versions, to re-set or quit the dashboard.

Weather widgets in the old G4 are accurate enough, newer OS X

version in Intel Mini shows them with temps from four hours ago.

User uploaded file

{from G4 Mac Mini 1.5GHz, 100GB HDD, 1024MB RAM, OS X 10.5.8; presently up 64+ days this cycle}

Most older widgets (G4) work fine, not sure who's supporting content online. -- Oh well...! 😐
