Q: Setting up files sharing: iMac ⁄ MacBook Air both 10.11.4

I really messed things up and don't know any more what setting in Sharing I should or can enter. The Finder sees the respective other Mac, but that's about it. Perhaps I should start from scratch - but do I go back to a 'clean slate'? I'd be grateful for any feedback. TH
