Macbook Pro freezes/gets super hot/slow
Hello guys,
my Notebook:
MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015), OS X El Capitan (10.11.4)
Processor: 2.9 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory: 8GB 1867 MHz DDR3
Graphics: Intel Iris Graphics 6100 1536MB
Disk: 500GB Flash Storage (I use 115GB as a partition for Windows through Bootcamp)
EXTERNAL MONITOR: Apple Thunderbolt Display
It's been many years now that I'm using Macs and I never had such a problem before. The symptoms?
- My Macbook Pro randomly freezes, leaving me with no other choice than holding the POWER ON/OFF button for a couple of seconds in order to shut it down..
- Pretty often, it gets really hot, but really HOT, and as a result, it gets super SLOW at the same time as well. Of course, at that moment, I shut it down and wait a couple minutes before I turn it back on.. (at that moment I need like 15" to move the cursor to the shut it down option, super slow!)
- (Sometimes, I can feel the electrical current when I rest my palm on the palm top + around the keyboard! actually almost everywhere!)
I'm really struggling to understand what causes these symptoms. I would characterise my MacBook use as NORMAL. I have it connected all the time with the Thunderbolt Display, and the only other thing connected all the time is a WD My Passport for Mac 1TB External Drive..
I'm occasionally using GoPro Studio software (video editing) and Adobe Lightroom (photo editing), however its only occasionally and the symptoms do happen while I'm not using any challenging software.. so I would not say that this is the root of the problem... (I'm just mentioning stuff!!)
Additionally, I have my MacBook Pro connected to the AC adapter most of the time (since I'm using Thunderbolt Display). {Initially I 'suspected' the AC adapter of the Thunderbolt Display.. I thought that it may cause the problem but when I tested my MacBook Pro with its original charging cable the symptoms happened again..}
I'm including some pics from my system that may help you. Let me know if you need anything else. I'd be really really glad if you can help me cause its been more than a year that I bought it (so I'm not covered by Apple's warranty) + I would waste a lot of valuable time (I need it for my work) bringing it to an Apple Store or a Certified/Official Retailer/Repair Store and wait for a solution.
Thank you in advance !
