How do I export profiles in Apple Configurator 2?

Hello

I am currently getting to grips with Apple Configurator 2 and after spending time creating profiles and blueprints I think I am ready to go. However, our MDM solution requires us to upload the configuration profile in order to extend its own configurations.

I have found instructions which say to go to the Supervise tab > click settings > select profile > below the profile list click on the standard iOS export icon

I think these instructions must be for the original Apple Configurator as there is no settings option under the supervise tab.

How do I do this in Apple Configurator 2? Is it as simple as copying the profile stored in my Mac's documents folder?

Thanks

Andrew

Hello there, Andrew.

It sounds like you're trying to export device information from Apple Configurator. The following link in the online Apple Configurator 2 Help Guide provides information in that regard:

View or export device info - Apple Configurator 2 Help

Export device information

  1. Select one or more devices, then do one of the following:

    • Choose Actions > Export > Info.

    • Control-click the selected device and choose Export > Info.

  2. Choose whether to export a device IDs file (.deviceids) for the developer portal, or a comma-separated value file.

If you export a comma-separated value file, you can choose which information to include, such as the device name and capacity, serial number, and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth MAC addresses.

  3. Click Export, then name the file.

To review device info in an exported .csv file, select the file in the Finder, then press the Space bar.

Thank you for your response. I am not sure if this is the correct information they are looking for. What I have been asked for is the iOS configuration profiles created in Apple Configurator, where as what you describe sounds like information for whichever iPad is currently connected to the Mac. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
