Q: Keep Dock on one screen

I want the dock to stay on one screen however I want to keep separate spaces enabled I like how the windows behave on the screen better in this mode. It is very troublesome for the dock to change screens when the mouse is near the bottom of the screen. Or is there a way to change what causes the dock to move like make it require more than just the mouse hovering in the area.

I tried using the terminal scripts before but they do not seem to work.

El Capitan 10.11.4

Thanks.

Essentially, yes, but it is not that simple. Moving the Dock requires that you pull down at the screen boundary, not just hover over the bottom area. However, in practice it is almost impossible not to put the mouse cursor down there and not continue moving downward. If you only momentarily hit the bottom and then move up, the Dock does not appear/change.

I don't know of a way to fix the Dock into one Display.

Thanks for correcting, me when I am working to me it feels like I am hovering.. Simple answer would have been "No you can not do as you are asking".

Just trying to help you avoid the actions that cause it to happen. If you took offense to that help, it doesn't bother me.

Like I said all you needed to say was no you can not do it.  Avoiding touching the bottom of my screen is just not something that is even a feasible option so saying your trying to help me avoid an action that is un-avoidable is also a un needed response.

Set the Dock to one side of the display.

If you set it to the left, it will only show on the left display, same for the right.

But no way to lock it the the bottom middle screen while keeping separate spaces?

The only way that I know of is to set your display arrangement in System Preferences to have them placed above and below each other with your primary monitor set to be the lower display.

Thanks this works for my particular setup and work flow; I have my main two monitors side by side and I put the third monitor on the bottom. Because it is a different size, on it's side, and mostly used for iTunes.
