While looking through my Safari plug-ins I found I had two from RocketLife - RocketEngine and Upload Manager. As far as I can tell they are Windows software installed as part of some printing software I installed at one time or another.
Do I need either of these plug-ins?
And can they be removed by simply removing them from the Internet Plug-Ins library?

I had the same question. Was surprised to find I had some adware recently when trying to diagnose a problem and was directed to use Malwarebytes. Read an article on items that may inadvertently installed in Safari and decided to check through all my settings. Saw the Rocketlife plugins and was curious. You probably don't need them. You can move them to the Trash (don't empty) and use your browser. If it acts as expected, empty the Trash.
I took your suggestion and deleted the two plug-ins and restarted Safari. So far everything appears normal. It looks like I didn't need them.
