how to unlock a refurbished iWatch?

I purchased a refurbished iWatch from eBay, it was cleared & all content was removed, but my daughter can't connect it to her apple account. It says it must be unactivated by the previous owner. How can I get this watch unactivated if the previous owner isn't known?

Hi

You will not be able to use the watch without co-operation from the previous owner.

You should return the watch for a refund - if necessary by claiming under eBay's Money Back Guarantee.
