Help! My iphoto keep crashing

I am desperate. A LOT of my photos are in iPhoto that I have been saving as a resource.

It keeps crashing. It opens then within seconds shuts down.

How do I fix this problem so I can offload them? I simply want them someplace else now that this has happened.

Thank you for any guidance you can offer.

This problem exists on a Mac desktop.

Cheers.

if you are having trouble with the procedure in the User Tip that Larry linked to, try simply to disable your network before you launch iPhoto. This will prevent it from accessing trying to connect to Google's servers and crashing.if you are using iPhoto on OS X Mountain Lion. iPhoto will be able to open and you can disable the Places preferences.

Then try to export the photos with File > Export from iPhoto to a folder on your hard drive.
