Q: Trouble with Messages on El Capitan 10.11.4

Hello,

I have had a lot of trouble signing into my iMessage since I updated to El Capitan 10.11.4. I have logged in and out of multiple devices, checked my internet connection, restarted my computer, etc. I want to know if there is anything I can do to restore iMessage on my computer. Also, my computer is brand new, I just transferred all my back up data into this computers hard drive. I have a MacBook Pro 13" Retina Display 2013.

MacBook Pro with Retina display, Mac OS X (10.4.11)

The warranty entitles you to complimentary phone support for the first 90 days of ownership.

    Hi,

IF that means you transferred the Keychain from another computer you will need to edit this one.

In Applications/Utilities and open the Keychain Access App.

Set Login in the top left if it is not already and Passwords lower left.

In the list on the right find IDS:- yourAppleID-Auth Token and delete it. (where the italics bit is the email you use)

    Restart Messages.

Messages in the iMessages account uses the Mac's serial Number as well and the ID and password to create the Auth Token.

Migrating one from somewhere else creates an error.

IF the reset does not work you will have to get Apple via Apple Support to reset the Apple ID on the iMessages Server.

(it looks like someone is trying to hack your account and the server may have already blocked the Mac's use of this ID)
