Apr 15, 2016 6:42 PM in response to ricardobandiniby Niel,A 2007 Mac isn't a G4. Choose About this Mac from the Apple menu and check the processor.
If it's a PowerPC Mac, buy a retail Mac OS X 10.5 DVD from a source such as Amazon or eBay.
If it's a Core Duo Mac, click here, install the DVD, and run Software Update.
If it's a Core 2 Duo or better Mac, upgrade it as if it was a Core Duo Mac, and once done, if desired, open the Mac App Store and try downloading El Capitan. If you get told that it's incompatible with your computer, go to the online Apple Store and order a download code for Lion 10.7.
Mac OS X 10.7 and newer don't support PowerPC software such as Microsoft Office 2004. If you upgrade the OS, back up the computer first.

Apr 15, 2016 6:45 PM in response to ricardobandiniby theratter,There is no 2007 G4. The last of that line was in June 2004 when the G5s were released. In 2007 there was a Mac Pro, an iMac, and a Mac Mini. Those are the only desktop Macs. They were able to run Snow Leopard. Depending on just what you have it may be able to run Lion 10.7.5.

Apr 15, 2016 7:20 PM in response to Nielby ricardobandini,Thanks Neil,
It's actually a Dual 1 GHz Power PC G4 so I guess I should find the Mac OS X 10.5 DVD and go that route.
Do you think I get up to an OS 10.7?
Thanks again,
