Q: Removed Iphone from Apple-ID. How to get it back?

I have two Iphones. One (Iphone 4S) I will give to my niece and I therefore wanted to delete all information and reset it completely. On my "manage Apple-ID" page I deleted the device that I will give to my niece and kept the one that I will be using myself (Iphone 5S).

I now cannot turn off "Find my Iphone" on my niece's phone anymore which is apparently needed when resetting the phone. How do I fix this?

Also, since both phones are on the same Apple-ID will they both be wiped out if I reset it to factory settings?

No only the phone you wipe will be wiped - the other phone won't be affected

You may have to sign back into iCloud on the device you deleted - the Find iPhone needs to be disabled first

If the 4S is running iOS 9X then you sign out of Find iPhone in Settings - iCloud - Find iPhone - toggle to OFF

I cannot toggle off. When I type in the password it now tells me there was an error in connecting to the Apple ID server (mine is in Swedish. I don't know the exact wording in English)

Chances are it is looking for authentication when none exists

Which is why I indicated that you may need to either
1. Sign into iCloud on that device again to make it appear in your Apple ID
2. Do a recovery with it using iTunes

Oh I may have had a blonde moment.
There is no sim card in the unit I want to reset so that is probably what is causing this...I'm guessing.
I shall get a new card for that one and see if I can work this out. Thanks for your help ManSinha!
