It sounds like you are typing into the URL bar in Safari on your iOS but it doesnt seem to be responding when you press Go or enter. I would start by quitting the Safari app:
1. Press the Home button two times quickly. You'll see small previews of your recently used apps.
2. Swipe left to find the app you want to close.
3. Swipe up on the app's preview to close it.
When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
If the issue persists I would next clear the website data from your phone and try again:To clear your history and cookies from Safari in iOS 8 or later, tap Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data. In iOS 7 or earlier, tap Clear History and tap Clear Cookies and Data.
To clear other stored information from Safari, tap Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website Data > Remove All Website Data.
Clearing your history, cookies, and browsing data from Safari won't change your AutoFill information.

Apr 17, 2016 10:55 AM in response to CSelwoodby Macology,1) Completly exit out of Safari by double-tapping the home button, and swiping away the app.
2) Go to Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data
3) Reopen Safari and attempt to use Google
My best guess is that you are having issues with your cookies. Clearing the cache, and cookies should clear up the problem. Please note that if you employ this kethod, you will habe to sign back in to any webpages that Safari stored the login credential for, so only do this if you remember all of your usernames and passwords. Best of luck.
