Q: Macbook Air Early 2014 Help
About My Mac:
Running : OS X Yosemite Version 10.10.5
Processor: 1.7 GHz Intel Core i&
Memory: 8GB 1600MHz DDR3
Storage Capacity: 120.14 gb
Hey guys so recently my mac has been getting a message saying the startup disk is almost full.
The problem is my apps, photos, movies, audio and backups add up to around 18gb while the other has 97.58gb I was wondering if there was a way to get rid of the stuff in the other with out messing up my computer. Because prior to owning a mac I had a Windows 7 Acer Laptop which when i went to factory reset messed up and had to get it repaired. So im slightly hesitant of doing a Factory Reset/Hard Reset on my mac.

First understand what OTHER consists of:
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202867
Then download from the Internet OmniDiskSweeper and Grand Perspective (both free) and open them. They will show all of your files and the respective sizes. Transfer to an external HDD or delete files you no longer want on your MBP.
Do not forget to empty trash. Only then is space allocated for new data.
