Deleting the need for a log in password

I have had an old Macbook (10.4.11) for years. I got it from my sister and it always has required a password to log on to which has always annoyed me (my other macbook doesn't). How do I delete the need for a password on this older macbook?

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.4.11), ipod classic 160 GB

Open the Accounts pane of System Preferences and enable automatic login.
