Can't restore iPad Pro

iPad Pro stops half way through restore from PC iTunes with error 56. I've tried to store on two different PC's; a MacBook Pro and Win10 PC. Both provide the same error, The process stops with the progress bar a half way for mid-point. It is a brand new iPad Pro. Mac and Win OS if fully up to date. Any ideas, or has someone else resolved this problem??

iPad Pro, iOS 9.3.1, null

Hi, have you managed to solve it? I have exactly the same problem as you! My brand new iPad Pro 9.7 Wi-Fi model worked totally fine on iOS 9.3 for the whole week. Few day ago, the iPad tried to update to iOS 9.3.1 and ended up being a brick. After lots of unsuccessful attempts to get it work (manually downloaded iOS 9.3.1 and 9.3.2 PB ipsw files, different computers on Win and OSX, different cables), I am pretty confident that this problem is likely to be on the hardware side as it always stops the progress bar at the half way point with Error 56.

I have exactly the same issue and tried through laptop etc but both updates and restore is not working and getting stuck midway with error 56. I am on the road for the next 3 weeks and this is so frustrating! My Ipad pro is less than 4 weeks old! I wish I had taken my old Ipad with me instead. (my iphone 6 seems to have updated seamlessly).

Likewise, upgraded to 9.3.2 on 1 week old iPad Pro 9.7 + cellular model. First OTA update failed, then failed through iTunes, both via automatic download and manual download. Progress bar on iPad gets to the half way mark and stops dead. Very frustrated.
