Q: After I updated my iPad mini to 9.3.1 almost all of my books in iBooks disappear. I have around 500 books in there but only 4 was left, those 4 was my recently opened books. None of them were purchased in iTunes Store.

Many of them are not in my to-read list in goodreads. There's no way I'll be able to remember them. I'm really mad at Apple because of this. I've been updating my iPad every time that there's a new available update but this is the first time this happened to me. Thinking about the time I spent just to download those book and no to just dissapear like that is ******* me off.

iOS 9.3.1, null

How did you do the update, directly on the iPad or via your computer's iTunes ? If a computer's iTunes did you copy them over to your computer's iTunes (and then to iBooks if using an up-to-date Mac) prior to starting the update ? They wouldn't have been included in a backup, neither iTunes nor iCloud.
