The hey siri always on function when plugged in keeps on being disabled on my iphone 5c running the latest version of ios9. I always set it up in settings, it works for some time and then I when I try it and check settings, I find that the Hey Siri switch is toggled off and I have to set it up all over again. This has happened to me several times and it is pretty annnoying.

If you're having trouble with settings on your iPhone being retained, it may help to force close all open applications and restart the device.

If Hey Siri continues to disable itself, the next step would be to reinstall iOS on your device by placing it in Recovery Mode, then choosing Update in iTunes. Prior to doing so, it's always a good idea to make sure that you've got a backup made.
- Make sure that you have iTunes 12 or later on your computer.
- Put your device in recovery mode.
- When you get the option to restore or update, select Update. This will reinstall iOS without erasing your data.
