iPhone 6 "Software too old" error Problem! Latest back up was on 2-24-16. Please help!

I had an iPhone 6 and I dropped it at the beach and lost it a month ago. Now, I got a new iPhone 6 and I tried to back up my files from my old iPhone to my new iPhone, but it wouldnt let me back up. It says the software is too old. The latest back up I did on my old iPhone was on Feb 24, 2016.

I don't understand why would it be too old when it was only almost two months ago. Please help!

Hi there sbxxiii,

It sounds like you are trying to restore an iCloud backup to your newer phone but get a message saying that the software is too old. This article should help you get that phone updated so you can restore from that backup:

Restoring from an iTunes or iCloud backup when a later version of iOS is required
