Only thing shows when it is turned on is the ITunes symbol and image of power plug with arrow pointing to ITunes symbol. Tried a reset 5-6 times with same result. more

two attempts to update resulted in msgs "the Iphone software update server could not be contacted. An unknown error occured (1671)
and "the Iphone could not be updated. An unknown error occured (21)

Apr 17, 2016 3:38 PM in response to kb1951by devildog4,I saw that. Tried on my PC this time. Both Update and Restore failed several times about 2/3 of the way thru the download status bar. Both showed error (29):
- Check that your security software and settings aren't blocking your device from communicating with the Apple update server. DONE
- Try to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod two more times while connected with a cable, computer, and network you know are good. DONE
- Make sure that your security software and settings are allowing communication between your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch and update servers. DONE
- If you still see the error message when you update or restore, contact Apple support.TOMORROW
sooo....anything else I can try? Since I have no IOS now, and 9.3.1 caused the problem....can I D/L 9.3 someplace?
