Apple car play stopped working yesterday. All of the posts I have read regarding this issue are a couple months old. Has then been a solution made available that I don't know about? VERY frustrating!

I just bought a 2016 Volkswagen CC two months ago. Apple car play worked great until last night. All the posts I have read are a couple months old. Did anyone come up with a solution or did everyone give up on using car play? I am very frustrated!
