Q: Turning off some of home sharing

I am trying to turn off a portion of my home sharing from my Mac.  For example, I want to share only music and photos but not movies and home videos.  I thought I could do this by going to iTunes Preferences > Sharing and selecting only Music and Photos in the "Share Selected Playlists".  However, when I do this I can still see the other options when I view my Mac from my Apple TV.  I have only been successful when turning off Home Sharing completely but it is not recognizing the other option of selecting certain folders.   Am I doing something wrong?  Thanks!
