Q: Macbook Pro Repair Extension Program

I have a Mac-book Pro early 2011, which developed video display problem for over a year now. I was told by a technician that it is the GPU issue, and i needed to replace the board for between 800 - 1000 dollars.

Now I learned that Apple is offering repair extension program for some specific Mac-book pro which mine falls into the category. I am resident in Nigeria, and my Mac-book pro was purchased in Nigeria. Am i qualified for this offering from Apple and how do I progress with the process of fixing my Mac-book pro using this offer, if i am qualified?

Your MBP should be eligible for a replacement but the problem you face is logistics. You will have to contact Apple and make arrangements to ship your MBP to them. Here are the worldwide contact numbers:

I am aware of this link https://www.apple.com/support/macbookpro-videoissues, but when i drop down the list of country on the left of that page, i don't see my country Nigeria in the list. Does that mean Nigeria is not covered by this repair extension program?

It means that Apple does not have authorized representatives in Nigeria. That is why you will have to contact Apple and determine where the MBP can be shipped in order to replace the logic board.
