Q: iPhone shows the number 1 in software update after unenrolling from the beta program and restoring

To start off with I was on iOS 8 something and went to the beta program to check out the night shift feature. I decided to opt out of the beta program and go to iOS 9.3.1. After performing the restore like apple says to do I am now getting the number 1 in the general tab on the software update bar. when I click into it it shows the current version is 9.3.1. How can I make this 1 go away?

I'm not sure which of the restores you are referencing, but did you remove the profile needed for the beta program?

I would double-check to make sure you followed all of the steps listed in this support document for going back to the current iOS from the beta program. You cannot use a backup, unless you did it as described in the support document. About iOS beta software - Apple Support

The 1 indicates you have one update available. Install the update and number badge will disappear.
