Using airplay on Windows PC

Is there anyway to use airplay on Windows? We have cable TV and only one TV, it would be nice to transform this computer into another "TV" if I can stream our cable live from my iPhone or iPad.

The reason it has come to this option is because our area is unable to stream TV live from my computer, yet I can stream from my Apple devices.

I have been looking online for options but I don't trust others suggestions of downloading programs that were not create by Apple.

Apple devices: iPhone 6, iPad 2, Apple TV

PC: Windows Vista 10

My internet connection is perfect, my PC has Wifi. I just wanted to basically use my PC as a TV. With my Comcast cable, I can stream live TV anywhere, but for some reason my PC will not stream the ABC network, the message I receive is that the network is not yet available in my area... Yet when I open my Comcast live TV on my iPhone or iPad, I can watch ABC network live just fine. Since I can stream any channel live on my phone since it is Apple, I wanted to Airplay it on my PC.

I spoke to my brother about it, there is no solution except to buy a Mac 😝

If I understand your situation, your internet connection to the house is too slow to support streaming. Your iPhone cellular connection is fast enough?

If that is the case and you want to view content from the phone on your Windows monitor, I think the most reliable Apple solution would be a lightning video adapter. Not sure of your windows monitor connection. Apple sells HDMI and VGA adapters. You would bypass the PC but use the monitor.

Huh?

AIrPlay lets an iPhone or iPad stream internet content, or its own screen, to an Apple TV. How would you like to use it to transfer cable TV content to a PC? Using the iPhone camera to read the TV screen and relay it somehow to the PC? That wouldn't work very well, even if it was feasible.

Are you saying that you have internet connection which can be used by iPhone and iPad but not by PC? If so, why not? Does the PC need a wifi adapter?

Certainly, any Windows implementation of AirPlay will not be from Apple, and I'd be very wary since Apple raised the security level, making it harder for third parties to hack.

Please try to give a clearer explanation of what you hope to do, and someone may have an answer.

Ah. So, you're running an iPhone app provided by Comcast, which implements the required security protocol to let you view channels you subscribe to over the internet. They may offer a similar program for Windows? Certainly, you won't just be able to reach out and grab streams over the internet with no credentials. Comcast wants to keep you wrapped in their cocoon, so they can provide their local commercials, etc. And we agree, there is likely no AirPlay receiver for Windows.
