This message prevents me from sharing the movie to file. I am done with the movie and want to print to DVD

Is your camera with he media files connected to your Mac?
No Camera. Using Canon Vixia avchd file on external hard drive. Moved file to computer and no change. Was able to edit in iMovie but can go no further because of this message.

Another possibility - I believe that if your AVCHD package is at the root level of an external drive, iMovie will think it is a camera, hence the message. Try putting your AVCHD package in an enclosing folder.
