Windows users should uninstall Quicktime. How to do so is detailed here:
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT205771
Mac OS users should not do so as the security risks that have prompted this do not affect the Apple OS.

I tried answering yes and then I get a pop up saying "A newer version of QuickTime is already installed. This installation cannot proceed while the newer version of QuickTime is installed." My only options are to close the popup or click OK; either way the uninstall stops.I only see one version of QuickTime on the list of installed programs. Now what?
