When I request to uninstall quick time I get a response if I want to have this app update software on my PC I answered no and the uninstall stops

JJust saw on tv advising window pc users to uninstall QuickTime. When I selected to uninstall QuickTime a box pops up asking if I want this app to be able to update other software. When I select No the uninstall stops. Please help

I'm having this same problem.

I tried answering yes and then I get a pop up saying "A newer version of QuickTime is already installed. This installation cannot proceed while the newer version of QuickTime is installed." My only options are to close the popup or click OK; either way the uninstall stops.I only see one version of QuickTime on the list of installed programs. Now what?
