While on my iphone 6 I sometimes get a beep indicating another call is there, but there is no caller id showing up. After two beeps I think get the disconnect sound as if the call hung up. There are no indications of a missed call when I go to the phone log. I am on IOS 9.3.1. This started prior to the newest update
Any ideas?

It sounds like your call waiting seems to be activating but no one is actually there, and it stops on its own. I would start by quitting the Phone and the Settings apps:
1. Press the Home button two times quickly. You'll see small previews of your recently used apps.
2. Swipe left to find the app you want to close.
3. Swipe up on the app's preview to close it.
When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
If the issue persists, you may want to reach out to your carrier to see if there is anything that they can do for this.
If not, then backup your device to iTunes, then restore it as new and verify that it works.
