Unable to remove a movie after Download Error

Have 9.3.1 and I had attempted to download 2 movie rentals. During the process, I had changed some account settings which resulted in an error message that says "Download Error. Tap to retry". The only issue is that when I tap nothing happens and when I selected "Edit" thinking I can remove them there is no option...the move slides to the right but there is no call to action to delete anything.

Does anyone know how to delete movies / TV shows after a similar error?

Many thanks,

Chad

Have you tried this:

Delete music, movies, apps, and other content from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

see the section:

Delete movies, TV shows and music videos

According to this:

About renting movies from the iTunes Store - Apple Support

You have 30 days to start watching a movie after you rent it. After you start watching the movie, you have 24 hours (in the US) or 48 hours (elsewhere) to finish it. You can watch the movie as often as you like until it expires.

Movies you rent disappear from your iTunes library when the rental period ends.
