How to remove old dell_logo.gif from desktop? I have OS X El Capitan.

    Sorry, game's over. Literally impossible even on a case sensitive system. You'd have to take a file named Alert.gif, copy it over and over with spaces before or after the visible letters so they were all different, and then painstakingly line them up so they all appeared to be identical items.

     

    Couldn't help but notice you didn't provide a new screen shot. Prove to anyone here they still exist by choosing one of the standard pictures, not a solid color, for the desktop background and post a Command+Shift+3 screen shot. If I don't see it within three minutes, then I'll know you're just creating another impossible desktop.

    Please open Terminal.app, use this command:

     

         ls -l@en ~/Desktop/*.gif

     

    and post the results here.
