Deleting Audio Devices

Recently I uninstalled Loopback and Soundflower from my computer. However, they still appear as audio devices for both input and output. I have run their uninstalls. I have reinstalled the programs just to re-run uninstalls. I have also looked in the /Extensions folders: couldn't find Loopback but did find and delete Soundflower.kext. Both programs still appear as options. How do I remove them? Thanks in advance!

Hello FunnyDeeter,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

I understand you're trying to remove Soundflower and Loopback Audio on your Mac. Please make sure you're looking in /System/Library/Extensions, and also don't forget to restart your Mac after removing anything. Take a look at the recommended posts in the link below for more information, as the same information should apply for Loopback:

Thank you for your response. As stated earlier, I found and deleted the Soundlfower.kext file from /System/Library/Extensions. I could not find a Loopback file there either. I have restarted my computer since deleting Soundflower.kext.

To reiterate: neither files are found under /System/Library/Extensions yet both still appear under audio settings.
