I already had the adapter and yet when I tried to use it, connected directly to the USB 2 cable provided with the Sony Cybershop, I was informed by the IPad that the "DSC import was not compatible..." I did try to explain in the original Post that I needed a "direct" download to the IPad and not to my Mac and then to the ICloud and finally to the IPad. Thank you again for your response.
