Q: Why am I not receiving messages from my boss?

Have you reached out to your carrier?

Check your phone - Settings>Messages>Send as SMS>On.

EDIT - my apologies. My suggestion was for sending messages, not receiving them.

I don't use iMessage, haven't ever, and until this month I've sent them messages and received messages from them no problem. So why can't I communicate with them anymore? if the link doesn't help then do what Ho lee Mackeral (lol)...  suggested, as SMS is a carrier feature.
